Part Time Instructor — Theater/Film

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in the craft of shooting and editing film in documentary and narrative forms.
• Develop and deliver curriculum for film production classes.
• Prepare and review Standards and Benchmarks for courses.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of video equipment and data.
• Attend and participate in department meetings.
• Provide feedback through required grade/narrative reports; complete and submit reports by prescribed due dates.
• With supervisor, establish and review annual professional learning goals for the school year, as part of evaluation process.
• Must maintain rigor in a positive learning environment and must love working with children. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Experience in education a plus.
• Strong understanding of film editing software, including iMovie and Final Cut.
• Experience in filmmaking and production preferred.
• Satisfactory CORI report. 

Supervised by: Director of Theater Education

Hours: 4 hours weekly, 10 months
