PVPA is a regional public charter school serving 400 students grades 7-12, from over 60 towns throughout Western Massachusetts. We seek to connect the creative process with critical thinking to inspire a love of learning. As a charter school, the work we do informs educational policy at local, state and national levels.

What is my child's Student Number?

Every student at PVPA has a unique 4-digit ID number called the Student Number. This is how students are identified in the databases we use to track academic and health records, contact info for emergencies, etc. The Student Number is assigned when a child enrolls and never changes.

Mostly parents don't need the Student Number, but one exception is the online system that we use for scheduling parent-teacher conferences.

If you didn't receive a letter in the mail with your child's Student Number, you will find it on your child's schedule (from any semester) or any grade report. It's a 4-digit number beginning with 2 or 3.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

CONFERENCE DATE Wednesday, April 11, 2012 (students will be dismissed at noon)
SIGN-UP DATES Monday, March 26 (8am) – Sunday, April 8, 2012 (11:59 pm)
PRIORITY Your requested time will get top priority if you use the Pickatime.com online scheduling system.
Telephone conference scheduling is available for those without internet access (see below)
FORMAT 15-minute conferences with individual teachers scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis (arts and academic teachers available)
TIMES 12:30 - 5:30pm for grades 10, 11 and 12 (break 2:30-2:45)
12:30 - 8:00pm for grades 7, 8 and 9 (break 4:30-5:00)

OVERVIEW
PVPA parent/teacher conferences are designed for quick, face-to-face conversations regarding student learning and achievement. Students are welcome to attend conferences. Lengthy discussions may require a different format, and we encourage parents/guardians to contact teachers at any time via email or school telephone to arrange this separately. Conferences for the 7th, 8th and 9th grades tend to fill up quickly. Please reserve early.

ONLINE SCHEDULING
Please reserve your conference times using the Pickatime online scheduling system. You will need your child's 4-digit Student Number.If you didn't receive a letter in the mail with your child's Student Number, you will find it on your child's schedule (from any semester) or any grade report. TELEPHONE SCHEDULING
Please call the Conference Hotline at 413.552.1580 x215 and leave the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. Your student(s) name(s)
  3. Teacher(s) with whom you wish to meet
  4. Time ranges in which you are available on April 11 (see above)
  5. A telephone number at which you can be reached

You will receive a return call at the number you provide within 48 hours. We appreciate cancellations as soon as you are aware.

PVPA has students from 65 different towns and the school Directory plays an important role in establishing a school community.

We now have a form you can fill in online without having to download or print out anything. 

When we have collected the data we will be able to produce a working School Directory containing the contact information for all of the families who wish to be included .
